TV commercial + support video
In Canada, Opticians are regulated and licensed to ensure the highest standard of care and ethical practice. The Opticians Council Canada had just launched its new brand across Canada. As part of the brand launch, we were brought in by Outsidein Communications to produce two video segments – a national TV commercial and an internal & web based piece.
The TV Commercial’s purpose was to introduce to the public the new logo and convey that licensed opticians could help “you” see better. The internal & web piece clarified public awareness about the profession and also answers the question, ”What does a licensed optician actually do?”
It was aimed at showing the value opticians bring to their clients and to highlight their personal rewards when helping people see the world in a whole new way.
We developed the creative direction, held a casting call, shot the greenscreen video, completed the compositing and visual effects and applied the motion graphics as well. We were also tasked with delivering the files to the broadcast networks in Toronto including CBC, HGTV, Food Network and Bravo!
The TV Commercial continues to be aired nationally and the multimedia piece can be accessed online.
